8XBET Login Nigeria: Where to Sign In and How to Fix Access Problems

The 8XBET login sits at the top of 8xbet.ng. Here is how to sign in on phone or laptop, fix code and password problems, recover after a SIM change and avoid fake login pages.

You log in to 8XBET on its Nigerian website, 8xbet.ng, with the mobile number or email address and the password you chose at sign-up. The Login button is at the top of the page, whether you use a phone or a desktop browser. This guide comes from an independent information site, not from 8XBET, and covers the sign-in plus the problems that most often lock Nigerian players out.

The right address

Type 8xbet.ng into the address bar yourself, then bookmark it. A search for the brand turns up many sites with nearly identical names, such as 8xbets.ng and 8xbet.net.ng. Those are separate domains run by other people, and a password typed into a login box on any of them goes to whoever controls that site. Links in Facebook ads, Telegram channels or WhatsApp broadcasts deserve the same suspicion.

Copycat domains are a documented problem for this brand. In a WIPO domain dispute decided on 17 October 2024 (case D2024-3539), the holder of the 8XBET trademark won the transfer of 8xbetabc.com, a site that displayed the 8XBET logo in its usual stylised form alongside photos of Manchester City players. The panel found the domain had been registered and used in bad faith. Our promo code guide explains how the same trick is used to sell fake bonus codes.

Search results add a second trap: profile pages on free publishing platforms titled “8xbet login” that link onward to unknown sites. A padlock in the address bar proves only that the connection is encrypted, not who owns the site.

The company behind the brand in Nigeria is Strivora Limited, trading as 8XBet, which appears on the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority’s register of licensed operators with a licence running from 5 June 2026 to 4 June 2027.

Every way to sign in

One-time codeAccess to the registered phone or emailOften requested on a new phone, browser or network

The public pages of 8xbet.ng do not confirm whether Google or Facebook sign-in or an authenticator-app option exists, so look in the security area of your profile once you are in.

Signing in, step by step

  1. Open 8xbet.ng in Chrome, Safari or another up-to-date browser.
  2. Tap Login. On a phone it is usually beside the Register button at the top of the screen.
  3. Enter your mobile number or email address, whichever you registered with.
  4. Type your password. Most login forms have an eye icon that reveals what you typed, which helps you spot a stray capital letter.
  5. If a one-time code is requested, enter the code sent to your registered phone or email.
  6. Once the page reloads, confirm that the name and naira balance in the account menu are yours before you deposit or place a bet.

Getting the phone number format right

Nigerian numbers are 11 digits when written locally (0803 123 4567) and 13 digits in international form (234 803 123 4567). When a form already shows a +234 prefix, you drop the leading zero and type only the remaining ten digits: 8031234567. Typing the zero after +234 creates a number that does not exist on the system, and the result is an “account not found” message even though the account is fine.

When the login fails

What you seeLikely causeWhat to do
Incorrect passwordCaps Lock, an old password saved by the browser, or a typoType the password by hand. After two or three failures, reset it instead of guessing, because repeated attempts can trigger a temporary lock.

Code never arrivesNetwork delay, a full SMS inbox, or the registered SIM sitting in the inactive slot of a dual-SIM phoneWait a full minute before asking again. A fresh request normally cancels the previous code, so use only the newest one.

Codes, SIM problems and SIM-swap fraud

Most missing 8XBET codes are ordinary network delays. Codes also lag when you are roaming abroad or have one bar of signal. If the account has an email address, a reset sent there gets round a stubborn SMS route. A line barred for NIN problems receives nothing at all: in early 2024 networks barred lines that had not been linked to a verified National Identification Number by the 28 February deadline set by the Nigerian Communications Commission, and a line in that state has to be revalidated at the network’s outlet before codes flow again.

SIM-swap fraud is the dangerous version of a missing code. A criminal persuades or bribes their way to a replacement SIM for your number, and from that moment every login and banking code goes to them. The warning sign is your phone suddenly showing “No service” or “SIM not provisioned” while others around you have signal. If that happens, call your network from another phone at once, then call your bank. The NCC’s SIM replacement policy makes NIN verification compulsory for every replacement, which raises the bar for fraudsters but does not remove the risk. If your network does not resolve a complaint, the NCC’s toll-free 622 line is the next step.

Resetting a forgotten password

  1. Tap “Forgot password” under the login form.
  2. Enter the phone number or email on the account.
  3. Use the reset code or link that arrives, ideally within a few minutes.
  4. Choose a new password you have never used on another betting site, bank app or email account.
  5. Sign in with it, then sign out of any other device you no longer use.

Birthdays and phone numbers are the first things an attacker tries. No genuine support agent completes a reset for you over WhatsApp, and nobody legitimate needs you to read a code back to them. A caller asking for the code you just received is trying to take over the account.

Lost phone, new SIM or changed number

Same number, new SIM card

If your phone was stolen or the SIM is damaged, request a SIM replacement for the same number at an MTN, Airtel, Glo or 9mobile service centre. Because Nigerian lines are linked to the owner’s NIN, bring the identification the network asks for; replacements also involve a live photo checked against your records. Once the number is live again, login codes arrive as before and nothing needs to change on the betting account.

The old number is gone for good

Networks recycle numbers that stay inactive for long periods, so a line you abandoned may now belong to someone else. In that case, contact support before the code problem becomes urgent and ask how to move the account to a new number. Expect to prove who you are, which is covered in the account verification guide.

Opening a second account to get around the problem is a mistake. Bookmakers routinely close duplicate accounts and can hold the balance while they investigate.

Locked, suspended or self-excluded

A lock after failed attempts usually lifts after a waiting period or a password reset. A suspension is different: 8XBET has paused the account, often for a security review, a verification request or suspected duplicate accounts, and only support can lift it. Ask what triggered it and keep the ticket number. An account you placed on self-exclusion will also refuse logins or betting until the exclusion period ends, which is the control working as intended rather than a fault.

Adding extra protection

Turn on any two-step option the account offers. Three further habits close most gaps:

  • Protect the email inbox. Switch on two-step verification for the Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook account linked to your betting profile, since resets can be sent there.
  • Lock the SIM with a PIN. A SIM PIN stops a thief from putting your card into another phone and receiving your codes. Three wrong entries lock the card until you enter the PUK code from your network.
  • Use a screen lock. A fingerprint or PIN on the handset protects any session the browser keeps open.

Shared phones and viewing-centre laptops

On a sibling’s phone, an office laptop or a viewing-centre computer, open a guest or incognito window, refuse the browser’s offer to save the password, and tap Logout before you hand the device back. Never let an agent or attendant “log in for you”, because they then hold your password and can see your codes. If you think someone saw your password, change it from your own phone the same day.

Frequently asked questions

Is the login the same on the app and the website?

Yes. One account works across every way of reaching the sportsbook, so the same number, email and password apply. For what is and is not available as a download, see the 8XBET app guide.

Why does a new phone ask for a code when the old one did not?

A new device or browser looks like a fresh sign-in, so a code check is a normal security step. Approve it once on your own phone and the prompt usually stops.

Can someone else log in to my account for me?

It is a bad idea. Anyone who knows your password and receives your codes can place bets, change details and request withdrawals, and the operator will treat those actions as yours.

I have no account yet. Where do I start?

Read the registration walkthrough first, then come back here once you have a password. Betting is for adults aged 18 and over, so set a budget before you log in and stop when you reach it.
